DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Unsigned Iowa 981 begins at a junction with Iowa 150 approximately one half mile south of the City of Fayette and travels northeasterly to the City of Fayette.

 

Transfer of jurisdiction agreement number TJ‑981‑0 (2)‑‑2M‑33, between Fayette County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Unsigned Iowa 981 from a junction with Iowa 150 near the W ¼ Corner of Section 33‑T93N‑R8W northeasterly to the south corporation line of the City of Fayette to county jurisdiction on July 1, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the attached descrip­tion of Unsigned Iowa 981 in Fayette County from the primary road system.

 

Remove Unsigned Iowa 981 in Fayette County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the W ¼ Corner NW ¼ Section 33‑T93N‑R8W (junction Iowa 150); thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 33 to the south corporation line of the City of Fayette connecting with an unnamed street.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Unsigned Iowa 981 in Fayette County should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

Unsigned Iowa 981 begins at Iowa 150 just south of Fayette, and travels in a northeasterly direction approximately ½ mile to the south corporation limits of Fayette, Iowa.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

Locate Unsigned Iowa 981 in Fayette County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point near the W ¼ Corner NW ¼ Section 33‑T93N‑R8W (junction Iowa 150); thence in a northeasterly direction through said Section 33 to the south corporation line of the City of Fayette connecting with an unnamed street.

 

NOW, THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Iowa Department of Transportation approve the location of Unsigned Iowa 981 in Fayette County, Iowa.

 

NOTE: To become effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

The following addition and revisions of primary highways has been necessitated due to a conflict with the accident coding procedures of the Department of Public Safety.
